New 3D Laser Scanner

Late 2019 brought another string to AIM’s bow. LASER SCANNING. This enables us to not only measure parts up to 10m³ to an accuracy of 0.020mm, within minutes rather than the hours or even days on a conventional CMM. But it also enables us to reverse engineer any part, producing a solid model for use to manufacture replacement parts or be used as a template for checking other parts.

Going forward this technology will enable us to check parts in process on any one of our automation systems. Producing a solid model for every component manufactured on that system. This will give us, and importantly, our customers total confidence dimensionally accurate parts are delivered every time with results to back this up.
